The Eastern Tech Mavericks Softball team advances to the state-semifinal with a commanding victory over Gwynn Park Thursday, 20 to 0. Junior Rilee Fazenbaker threw 5 no-hit innings, striking out 4 batters along the way. Seniors Miranda Burton (4 RBI), Abbie Heagy (2B, 3 RBI), and Kendall Pfeifer (2-2, 3B, 2 RBI), along with Sophomores Lena Wondolowski (2-4, 2B, 3 RBI) and Emma Tawney (2-3, 2B, 3 RBI) paced the Mavericks at the plate. The Mavericks will travel to Bachman Park on May 21 to play the winner from the 2A South match-up between Glenelg and La Plata.
