Girls Soccer wins in Double Overtime Thriller

The Mavericks kept the pressure on Harford Tech all afternoon and were able to capitalize in Double Overtime to defeat the Cobras 1-0.  Rita Callinan scored the game winner off the assist from Jessica Morris.  Congratulations Mavericks, their next game is Monday September 24th at 4pm vs. Perry Hall at CCBC Dundalk.

Girls’ Soccer loses to Hereford

The Maverick Girls’ Soccer program loss to Hereford yesterday, 4-1.  The Mavericks jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a goal by Cayla Waterman.  However, Hereford scored a goal before the half to tie it, then an own goal and two later goals by Hereford delivered the 4-1 final.  JV lost, 7-1. Next game: Thursday 9/20 at ETHS vs. Harford Tech 4V/4:30JV.

Mavericks Compete in the Rain Monday

Monday, September 17th, the Maverick Field Hockey team traveled to Patapsco and returned with a 4-2 victory.  Girls’ Soccer was also in competition yesterday against Hereford, losing a tough match, 4-1.  Both teams are back in action this Thursday.  Field Hockey will host Loch Raven at 4:30 and Girls’ Soccer will host Harford Tech at 4pm.  Both contests are at Eastern Technical High School. Girls’ Soccer Improves to 2-0

The Mavericks defeated Pikesville 5-0 this past Friday, with goals scored by Kristin Toland (2), Cayla Waterman, and Kayla Lysaith.  The Mavericks play at 4pm this afternoon at CCBC Dundalk vs. Hereford.

Cross Country runs to success at Dundalk

The Cross Country team lead the way Wednesday at Dundalk High School, with the boys’ and girls’ teams both winning their respective meets.  Top finishers include Ryan Weeks (1st) and Kamalmeet Singh (2nd) in the boys’ race, and Karson Marcellino (1st), Sam Smith (2nd), and Makayla Brown (3rd) in the girls’ race.  The team races next at Hereford High School on 9/15 in the Bull Run Invitational.

Mavericks defeat the Gators

The Mavericks fell behind early 1-0, but worked with discipline and as a team to defeat Perry Hall 2 to 1. The Mavericks improved to 1-1-1 on the regular season and 3-1-1 overall.
