Mavericks get the Victory over Hereford on the Diamond

The varsity baseball team defeated Hereford 9 to 4 on Thursday afternoon. The Mavericks will host Sparrows Point on April 1st for their first home game of the season.

Tennis Loses Opener to Dulaney

The Eastern Technical High School Tennis team lost to Dulaney High School earlier this week 3-6. The following athletes led the way for the Mavericks:

Norman Moon won his match against the heavy hitter Ryan Krugman

Tiffany Thomas and Jennifer Thomas fought hard against Dulaney in their girls doubles match

Donyell Logan and Amir Moon cruised to victory in their doubles match winning two sets to none.

Boys’ Lacrosse defeat Harford Tech 8 to 3

Eastern Technical High varsity boys lacrosse defeated Harford Tech 8 to 3. Leading the way for the Mavericks offensively was Alex Rossi and Justin Lantz. While the defensive end was locked down by Adam Cockey and goalkeeper Jacob Lantz.

JV Baseball Wins with a Walk-Off

The Eastern Tech Mavericks JV baseball team defeated the Hereford Bulls 11-10 . Dylan Cepeda had a two run walk off single to led the young Mavericks to victory. Tommy Pelle picked up the win in relief. The Mavericks are 1-2 on the season .

Softball Improves to 2-0

The Mavericks traveled to Sparrows Point on Tuesday, returning with a 23 to 4 win. The Mavericks jumped out early with 11 runs in the 1st inning and were led at the plate by seniors Miranda Burton (3-4, 4 RBI’s), Bella Schwing (3-5, 2 RBI’s), Kendall Pfeifer (2-2, 1 RBI), sophomores Lena Wondowski (4-5, 3 RBI’s) and Emma Tawney (2-3, 1 2B, 4 RBI’s). Rilee Fazenbaker earned the win, going 5IP, allowing 6 H and 3 ER. The Mavericks are now 2-0 and will host Carver A & T on Monday April 1st at 3:45.

Girls’ Lacrosse Sweeps North County

The Maverick Girls’ Lacrosse teams traveled to North County Monday afternoon, returning with a clean sweep, JV 13 – 1 and V 15 – 5. Next up is Parkville Friday night at CCBC Essex, 6 JV/7:30 V. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens.

Softball Opens the Season with a Bang!

The Maverick Softball team hosted Catholic High School yesterday, coming away with an impressive 20-4 victory. The Mavericks were led at the plate by Senior Savannah Bucalo (3-3, 2 2B, 3 RBI), Sophomore Kristin Toland (2-2, 2B, 3B, RBI), and Sophomore Sydney Edmond (3-4, HR, 5 RBI) and on the mound by Rilee Fazenbaker (4 innings, 3 ER, 3 H). The Mavericks are 1-0 and play again today, travelling to Sparrows Point.
