Summer Workout Opportunities

Eastern Tech will host two separate summer workout opportunities.  For both, you will need to register in advance at FormReLeaf. Below are details for both.

  • Summer General Physical Preparedness and Transition Program
    • This summer, we are offering a free evening training program throughout the month of July.  Serving as a multi-functional approach to on-ramping athletes into performance training, the GPP (“General Physical Preparedness”) & Transition Program can be a useful program for athletes of all experience levels. We will meet every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6-7pm starting July 6 and ending July 29.

  • Football Off-Season Workouts (Including Incoming Freshman – Class of 2025)

    • Begin Friday July 2 – and end Friday August 6, every Monday / Wednesday/ Friday (no July 5)
    • Time: 7:00 – 8:30pm

Baseball and Softball Start their Playoff Run

The Mavericks Baseball and Softball teams start their playoff runs this week with the Baseball team traveling to Overlea on 6/9 for a 4pm start and the Softball team traveling to Carver A & T on 6/10 for a 3:30 start.  Tickets are available in host school’s TicketSpicket sites.

Mavericks Run, Throw, and Jump by the Competition

On Monday, June 7, the Mavericks Track and Field team headed to Randallstown for the 2A North Region 1 Meet.  Both teams performed well, with Noah Oliver, Micha Frempong, Ahmari Jones, Kyle Watson, Ibukunolu Oso, and Haniel Lopes led the way for the boys’ team.  While Naomi Knox, Reese kropp, Alexis Keller-Posen, Abigail Stallworth, Saige Booker, Autumn, Burgess, Lynelle Martin, and Tolulope Iyanoye set the pace for the girls’ team.  First place finishes included Lynelle Martin (100M and Long Jump), Naomi Knox, Reese Kropp, Alexis Keller-Posen, and Abigail Stallworth (4x800M), and Lynell Martin, Tolulope Iyanoye, Saige Booker, and Autumn Burgess (4x100M and 4x200M Relays).  The team returns to Randallstown this Saturday for the 2A North Region Championship.

Mavericks Move on to Region Championship

Five Mavericks Tennis Athletes advanced to the Region Championship over the weekend. Rhys Wexler, Alfonzo Martinez, Gabriela Martinez, Thomas Anoweck, and Owen Kalb all advance to Goucher College this Saturday, June 12, for the Region Championship and a chance to compete at State Finals hosted at Wilde Lake.

Fall Sports Registration Opens July 1st

The Fall 2021 Sports Registration portal for badminton, cheerleading, cross country, field hockey, football, golf, soccer, and volleyball will open on Thursday, July 1 and close on Wednesday, August 4.  Tryouts for Fall Sports start August 11 and are for a minimum of 3 days.  Student-athletes are expected to attend and participate in all 3 days in order to be eligible for squad selection. All registrations are completed using FormReLeaf.  Valid Pre-Participation Physical Examination forms must be submitted or on file with the Athletic Director in order to be eligible to participate.  Physicals are now good for 14 months from date issued.  All physicals must be submitted using the MPSSAA Approved form. More information will be shared regarding tryouts, times, dates, and any additional requirements as we near July 1.
