Playoffs Continue for Girls’ Lacrosse

The Maverick Girls’ Lacrosse team defeated Gwynn Park in the MPSSAA playoffs last night 16 to 3.  The team will travel to Hereford on Wednesday May 15th for a 3:45 contest.  Admission is $6.  Go Mavericks!

Mavericks Lose a Tough One to Dulaney in Boys’ Lacrosse

The Eastern Tech Boys’ Lacrosse team lost yesterday to Dulaney, 13-5.  The Mavericks fell behind early in the contest, but competed at a higher level in the second half, but did not have enough to pull off the comeback.  Seniors Alex Rossi and Jacob Lantz led the Mavericks on offense and defense respectfully, with Alex scoring 2 goals and adding 2 assists.The Mavericks close out the regular season May 3rd at CCBC Essex vs. North Harford 5:30 JV/7 V and will honor the senior athletes and families between the two games.

JV Baseball Notches its 7th Win of the Season

Eastern Technical High School JV baseball team defeated  to Lansdowne High School Wednesday evening 11- 1  .The following athletes led the way for the Mavericks – Jerryn Preisinger hit a 2 run Home Run, Aiden Ament was 2 for 4 with a run scored and a RBI, and Alex Hewes was 2 for 2 with a run scored and a RBI.  The Mavericks current record is 7 wins and 9 losses . They next compete on Friday  May 3rd   vs Catonsville  High school at Catonsville  to close out their season.

Mavericks Close out the Wolverines in Girls’ Lacrosse

The Eastern Tech Mavericks faced off against a tough Western Tech Wolverine team  Wednesday night at CCBC Essex.  The first half was a back and forth battle, with the Mavericks leading at halftime, but the Wolverines seemed to have an answer for every Maverick goal.  The second half was a different story, as the Mavericks shut out the Wolverines en route to an 11-3 victory.  The night was also a celebration of the senior athletes and families – Julie King, Janie Kressman, Allie Hartman, Rita Callinan, Riley Jackson, Samantha Tornatore, Alyssa Foster, and Claire Reitenbach. The Mavericks close out the regular season this Friday at 3:30 at North Harford.

Mavericks Celebrate Seniors with a Victor Over Hereford Softball

The Eastern Tech Softball team celebrated the Class of 2019 with a win over Hereford on Tuesday.  The Mavericks won 14-4 behind the strong pitching of Sophomore Mackenzie Burton and Junior Rilee Fazenbaker.  Seniors Kendall Pfeifer and Miranda Burton powered the Maverick offense as the team improved to 13 and 2.
